What To Do When You're Overdue?

It is almost three days past my due date, in short... OVERDUE! For some, they would fear this and it could be annoying for pregnant woman (like me) to hear some words of discouragement from people who do not understand your situation and you, as a person.

I am worried, too. Yes, but I won't let my fears affect me to give birth. Some friends said that most overdue pregnant women lead to C-section and some said that maybe the baby has got problems inside the womb so she couldn't be able to come out on time. 40th Week Of My Pregnancy: My Due Date is Today!

I am so excited to give birth today... Apparently, it is not time yet for my little one to come out to see the world. The more I am waiting and excited to deliver my baby.. the more that she's not ready to show up (laughs).

Why there are things in life when you have waited long enough for something and yet it won't let it happen the exact time you want it to be? But, if you don't wait for something.. it will just happen unexpectedly~ Hmmm... the way of life!

Anyways, she's gonna come out whenever she's ready and it is not a sin if she won't like to show up on her due date. Just that, every baby will come out sooner or later and mommy like me must relax and wait patiently because the baby will definitely come out very soon :)

Two Days Before My Due Date

My OB said that my due date will be on the 23rd of April. But my guess is on the 24th, but it doesn't make much difference to me.

On the past few weeks and days, I feel that my feet are swollen and at times are numb. Specially my left foot which is bigger than the other now. My both hands are numb, too. I woke up this morning and felt the numbness of my both left hand and foot.

I tried to take a walk and I got so tired easily. It's difficult to breathe and my body feels so heavy like I am carrying a sack of rice every day.

If I were to describe how I feel now that my due date is coming, here are they:

♥ I walk like a turtle because I couldn't be able to walk as fast as before.

♥ I feel like a pig and a penguin because my body is huge my hips, boobies, thighs, butt, face and tummy are enormous, and making me look funny when I walk.

♥ I walk like a frog because of my big tummy. Must walk feet apart otherwise, my thighs or upper legs are in friction, I tried not to but look what I've got... rashes :(

♥ I feel like a very old granny because I always have a left leg cramps every day and night and feel weak sometimes.

♥ I feel like I always carry a heavy load like a sack of rice when I walk and as a result, I always feel tired easily.

♥ I feel hungry all the time and when I eat...I couldn't get enough to eat a lot! 1 cup of rice is not enough for me. I still have food cravings until now.

♥ I feel like an owl because I am awake at night till 3 or 4 am. But wakes up early at 6 or 7am.

I wish to deliver my little Sofia vaginally because I am pretty much nervous about that CS thing. Still praying hard. Trying to ignore these challenges for the sake of my little angel :)

39th Week of My Pregnancy: Pre Natal Check Up

I didn't expect that today will be my last day of check up with my OB. He told us to go back next week, wtf? My due date is next week on 22nd or 4th of April, already. I thought my doctor would do internal examination (inserting the finger to vagina to measure if the patient is already dilated of certain centimeter/s) on me. But he just did an ultrasound, AGAIN!

In the Philippines, the doctor or midwife will never advice to undergo an ultrasound unless it is necessary and must not be more than once (unless again, necessary) for only two famous reasons which are: to determine the sex of the baby (boy or girl) and the exact position or situation of the baby inside the womb (head down, side ways, breech, cord around the neck). This ultrasound will be advised on the 6th month and/or before the due date. Which simply means not every monthly pre-natal check up which is happening to me. This is freaking me out!

I don't know if my OB is just after his doctor's fee which makes NO SENSE because all he's gonna do is just ultrasound and not elaborating details of what's happening because he's running out of English (He's a Thai).

Just imagine, my last month's check up was March 29 (ultrasound again) and yesterday April 12 (ultrasound still)... My goodness! I wish this ultrasound radiation won't affect my daughter's health otherwise... I'll kill my OB!

My weight is 77.1 kgs.(76.2 kgs. last March 29). The dumbass nurse got my blood pressure right away without telling me to rest a bit because I just arrived. Of course, my blood pressure will go up (what do u expect?). My blood pressure was 122/68.

It really surprised me when the baby's weight increased from 3.23 kgs. to 3.55 kgs. within two weeks. I gained a kilo in two weeks, OMG! :P I'm praying that I won't have to undergo a C-section. Help me God.

Preggy Pictorial @ 38 weeks

This is my sexy preggy pictorial for this super hot summer 2010. Really hot in here, imagine 37 degrees HOT!

I got so really bored so I've made a self photo shoot once again for the sake of ART and for recording purposes. I may not be able to undergo pregnancy after giving birth hehehe who knows... I am getting older and I want this memorable... something to look back :)

These are all edited version because I feel shy somehow to post the original pics so I played around and edited these photos so they will still look wholesome somehow hehehe

38 weeks and 4 days: My Swollen, Ugly Feet and Panic Attack For Caesarian

I was astonished to see my swollen feet like this. Jeeezzz... I haven't cleaned my nails for a long time! Perhaps, I am just lazy to visit the nearest salon here or even too lazy to clean my own nails. Ewww.. really horrible feet!

Seriously, I am panicking right now because I may be able to give birth anytime soon. My due date is fast approaching, is it the reason why my feet looked fat or swollen? I just figured out today, when I talked with my Ninang Mitch (One of my sponsor in my wedding) that our little angel's weight is heavy because she is now 3.28 kilos (as of March 29). She added that, the weight of our baby is actually two months old already. I am panicking now to death! Oh help me God! I don't wanna undergo a caesarian operation... No way please!

She is 7.23 pounds already (3.28 kilos converted to pounds)!!!
My source is http://calculator-converter.com/converter_kilograms_to_pounds_kg_to_lb_calculator_chart_table.php

Goodness gracious! I need a miracle this month. Tomorrow will be my pre-natal check up and I just wish the doctor will never tell me to undergo CS. I hope the baby's weight will not increase anymore. I couldn't be able to sleep because of my fear.

This is the result of my gluttonic behavior in the past huhuhu I should have avoided over eating, laziness, stay away from sweets and cold food. All I have to do now is to pray that everything will be fine, the baby will be delivered safely and that she's healthy. For me, to be able to cope up whatever is necessary for my baby. But still my option would be a normal delivery (vaginal birth).

I just leave it all to God. For He knows what's best for everything. He has got a perfect plan for all mankind. I trust His plan.

38th Week of My Pregnancy: Panic Buying For Our Little One

We didn't have a chance to buy important things for our Sofia in the past few weeks because we didn't have enough time, was waiting for sale but good quality items for newborn at malls around here, and was finding somewhere else to buy stuff according to my taste and color... :)

This afternoon, we had decided to finally buy other things that our little one needs when she arrive and it will be soon! So went out for panic buying after we had lunch at home. I didn't expect that it is gonna be a lot and it seems we bought the store hahahaha

We went to Ladprao (Bangkok)at Central Mall. This mall will be closed after this month due to renovation/remodelling or widening as evidently, it is really an old mall. So they have sale items on almost anything there up to 90% off! Nice huh? never heard of such thing in my life since I got here in Thailand... Yes, indeed it happens only here. I saw Levi's jeans on sale for 30%.. great! But, it's not my priority right now (laughs).

Last week we bought a stroller and a car seat for our baby at Fashion Island Mall. Not to mention the clothes, I never forget to buy more clothes for her specially if I saw something really nice quality but cheap.

We had finally bought a bassinet and nursing cover which were really difficult to find here nearby. I saw nursing cover at Emporium Mall but it was so expensive but, I couldn't find a bassinet everywhere. Until we came there at Central Mall. The bassinet is 25% off this month and the nursing cover is 50% off. Wow! so nice... But here's more... it was not ended there.. we saw baby's clothes on sale too. I was surprised that my hubby could be able to know which is nice looking and which is not! great! hahaha I teased him that he has got a homosexual side and he smiled at me.

Since, the baby grows fast we have decided to buy big sizes like for 3 to 6 months so she could be able to wear clothes that we bought for a long time.

We did not buy a crib yet, since she won't be using it for now until she reached 6 months. I bought a bassinet so that she can sleep beside me all the time. Moreover, we have no space right now for a crib. Sadly, we still haven't move out yet and we couldn't find a huge place for our family. For the meantime, we will just wait until we move in to a new house.

I am just delighted because my hubby is so supportive and responsible all through out my pregnancy. He would really insist to involve himself whatever issues or anything about our baby. Plus the fact that he doesn't want me to cook because he wants to do it for me. I feel like a princess at home. She would buy me anything I like, any food I am craving at the very moment.

I know he will be a GOOD DAD. And I am very proud of him.

Panic buying was fun because we had a common goal which was to buy things for a little Sofia. We didn't buy something for ourselves because for us, our baby becomes our top priority than our wants.
